Released the Enlightenment 0.24 window manager, known for its impressive appearance while consuming minimal computational resources based on EFL.

Among the announced improvements:

New screenshot module with an editor and cropping
Many setuid utilities have been consolidated into one
Monitor brightness adjustment is done via (lib)ddctil
Thumbnail size in EFM increased to 256×256 by default
Improved error handling for guru meditation
Seamless restart with fade-out without artifacts
Importing desktop wallpapers creates versions in multiple resolutions for better efficiency
Uses malloc_trim to reduce memory consumption
Restarts are now handled using enlightenment_start
Pointer locking to the screen in X to prevent the cursor from falling off the edge
The old desktop pager has been replaced with 'thumbnail previews'
Music control automatically invokes the user-selected media player
Handling Steam game exceptions to find the required desktop shortcut
Support for polkit authentication as a kernel module without the need for additional daemons
Simplified wallpaper setup for each desktop from the pager
Smoother starting due to the input/output preloading stream
The fade-out period when locking the screen can be reduced
Bluez4 replaced with Bluez5
