Version 22.12 of the EndeavourOS project is now available, succeeding the Antergos distribution, which was discontinued in May 2019 due to the remaining maintainers lacking the free time to support the project adequately. The installation image size is 1.9 GB (x86_64, a separate build is being developed for ARM).

- Package versions have been updated, including the Linux kernel 6.0.12, Firefox 108.0.1, Mesa 22.3.1, Xorg-Server 21.1.5, nvidia-dkms 525.60.11, and Grub 2:2.06.r403.g7259d55ff. The Calamares installer has been updated to version 3.3.0-alpha3.
- The choice of installable boot loaders (systemd-boot or GRUB) has been provided, as well as the option to install the system without a boot loader (using an already installed boot loader from another system).
- For creating initramfs images, Dracut is used instead of mkinitcpio. One of the advantages of Dracut is its ability to automatically detect the necessary modules and work without separate configuration.
- A menu item for booting Windows has been added to the boot menu of grub and systemd-boot, if that OS is installed alongside on the computer.
- The ability to create a new disk partition for EFI has been added, instead of using one already created in another OS.
- Support for submenus is enabled by default in the GRUB bootloader.
- In Cinnamon, the Qogir icon set is utilized instead of adwaita icons.
- In GNOME, the applications Gnome-text-editor and Console are used instead of gedit and gnome-terminal.
- In Budgie, the Qogir icon set and GTK theme arc are utilized, and Nemo has replaced Nautilus as the file manager.
- Support for the Pinebook Pro laptop has been added in the ARM architecture build. A package with the linux-eos-arm kernel is offered, including an amdgpu kernel module that may be needed in devices like the Phytium D2000. Boot images compatible with the Raspberry Pi Imager and dd utilities have been added. The script for operation on server systems without a monitor has been improved. For Odroid N2+ boards, vulkan-panfrost and vulkan-mesa-layers packages have been added.
