The server is designed for high-performance request processing, using a multithreaded and mostly non-blocking implementation that scales well on SMP systems. Features include adding and removing zones on the fly, zone transfers between servers, DDNS (dynamic updates), NSID (RFC 5001), EDNS0 extensions, and DNSSEC (including NSEC3), and response rate limiting (RRL).
I den nya utgåvan:
- Automatic loading of DS (Delegation of Signing) records into the parent DNS zone is ensured through DDNS. The ‘policy.ds-push’ option has been added for configuration.
- In case of network connection issues, incoming IXFR requests are no longer
converted into AXFR; - A more thorough check of missing GR (Glue Record) entries with DNS server addresses defined on the registrar's side has been implemented.
