A new release of OpenRGB 0.6 has been published, a free toolkit for managing RGB-lit devices. The package supports motherboards from ASUS, Gigabyte, ASRock, and MSI with RGB lighting subsystems for case lighting, memory modules with lighting from ASUS, Patriot, Corsair, and HyperX, graphics cards ASUS Aura\/ROG, MSI GeForce, Sapphire Nitro, and Gigabyte Aorus, various LED strip controllers (ThermalTake, Corsair, NZXT Hue+), glowing coolers, mice, keyboards, headphones, and Razer accessories with lighting. Information about the protocol for interacting with devices is mainly obtained by reverse engineering proprietary drivers and applications. The code is written in C\/C++ and is distributed under the GPLv2 license. Ready-made builds are provided for Linux, macOS, and Windows.

A plugin system has been added to extend the user interface. OpenRGB developers have prepared plugins with an automatic update installation system, an engine for adding effects, a visual map, and the implementation of the E1.31 protocol.\n
Limited support for the macOS platform has been added for Intel and ARM architectures.\n
Event logging to a file has been implemented for faster diagnostics.\n
User profile management through the SDK has been added.\n
A bug that caused the lighting to fail on MSI MysticLight motherboards has been fixed. Support for this series is once again enabled for already tested boards; developers provide assistance in restoring the functionality of the lighting affected by running older versions of OpenRGB.\n
Support for ASUS, MSI, and Gigabyte GPUs has been expanded.\n
Operating modes for EVGA GPUs have been added.\n
