Ett nytt sl\u00e4pp av Python-biblioteket plotly.py 5.0 \u00e4r tillg\u00e4ngligt, som erbjuder verktyg f\u00f6r datavisualisering och olika typer av statistik. F\u00f6r ritningen anv\u00e4nds biblioteket plotly.js, som st\u00f6der mer \u00e4n 30 typer av 2D- och 3D-diagram, grafer och kartor (resultatet sparas som en bildfil eller HTML-fil f\u00f6r interaktiv visning i webbl\u00e4saren). Koden f\u00f6r plotly.py distribueras under MIT-licensen.

I det nya numret har st\u00f6det f\u00f6r Python 2.7 och Python 3.5 upph\u00f6rt, och nu kr\u00e4vs minst Python 3.6. Det har gjort inkompatibla f\u00f6r\u00e4ndringar, inklusive borttagning av en stor m\u00e4ngd f\u00f6r\u00e5ldrade funktioner, \u00e4ndrade standardv\u00e4rden och upph\u00f6rande av st\u00f6det f\u00f6r webbl\u00e4sarna Internet Explorer 9\/10.
