Projektet LibreSSL fokuserar p\u00e5 att erbjuda kvalitativt st\u00f6d f\u00f6r SSL\/TLS-protokoll genom att ta bort \u00f6verfl\u00f6dig funktionalitet, l\u00e4gga till extra s\u00e4kerhets\u00e5tg\u00e4rder och utf\u00f6ra en betydande rensning och omarbetning av kodbasen. Utg\u00e5van av LibreSSL 3.8.0 betraktas som experimentell, d\u00e4r funktioner utvecklas som kommer att ing\u00e5 i OpenBSD 7.4. Samtidigt har stabila utg\u00e5vor av LibreSSL 3.6.3 och 3.7.3 skapats, d\u00e4r flera fel har r\u00e4ttats.      <\/p>\n<p>Funktioner i LibreSSL 3.8.0:   <\/p>\n<ul>\n<li class=\"l\"> St\u00f6d f\u00f6r en avkortad version av SHA-2 och SHA-3 har lagts till.\n<li class=\"l\"> Processen f\u00f6r rensning och omarbetning av den interna koden f\u00f6r SHA har inletts.\n<li class=\"l\"> De interna funktionerna BN_exp() och BN_copy() har skrivits om. Implementeringen av funktionen BN_mod_sqrt() har ersatts.\n<li class=\"l\"> Assemblerinsatser f\u00f6r AMD64-arkitekturen har anv\u00e4nt instruktionerna endbr64 (Terminate Indirect Branch).\n<li class=\"l\"> Kod f\u00f6r att verifiera regler definierade i RFC 5280 har \u00f6verf\u00f6rts fr\u00e5n BoringSSL.\n<li class=\"l\"> Arbetet med att \u00f6vers\u00e4tta libcrypto till att anv\u00e4nda CBB (bytebuilder) och CBS (bytestring) gr\u00e4nssnitt forts\u00e4tter.\n<li class=\"l\"> Problem som leder till att privilegiernas separation bryts i libtls har l\u00f6sts genom alternativa metoder p\u00e5 grund av \u00e4ndringar i OpenSSL 3.\n<li class=\"l\"> St\u00f6det f\u00f6r proxycertifikat (RFC 3820), GF2m, API X9.31, CTS-l\u00e4get (Cipher Text Stealing), SXNET, NETSCAPE_CERT_SEQUENCE,
