Anv\u00e4ndningen av samma bin\u00e4rpaket i SUSE och openSUSE f\u00f6renklar \u00f6verg\u00e5ngen mellan distributionerna, sparar resurser f\u00f6r paketsammans\u00e4ttning, distribution av uppdateringar och testning, enhetligar skillnaderna i spec-filer och m\u00f6jligg\u00f6r att undvika diagnoser av olika paketeringar vid analys av felmeddelanden.
