Programkoden \u00e4r skriven i programmeringsspr\u00e5ket C++ och \u00e4r tillg\u00e4nglig (GitHub, GitFlic) under GPLv3-licensen. Anv\u00e4ndargr\u00e4nssnittet har implementerats med hj\u00e4lp av GTK4-biblioteket. Programmet \u00e4r anpassat f\u00f6r att fungera i operativsystemen i Linux-familjen och Windows. F\u00f6r anv\u00e4ndare av Arch Linux finns ett f\u00e4rdigt byggscript tillg\u00e4ngligt i AUR. F\u00f6r Windows-anv\u00e4ndare finns en experimentell installationsprogram.    <\/p>\n<p>MyLibrary katalogiserar bokfiler i formaten fb2, epub, pdf, djvu, b\u00e5de direkt tillg\u00e4ngliga och de som \u00e4r packade i arkiv (zip, 7z, jar, cpio, iso, tar, tar.gz, tar.bz2, tar.xz, rar) och skapar en egen databas utan att \u00e4ndra originalfilerna eller deras placering. Integritetskontroll av samlingen och dess f\u00f6r\u00e4ndringar utf\u00f6rs genom skapandet av en databas med hash-summor f\u00f6r filer och arkiv.    <\/p>\n<p>S\u00f6kning efter b\u00f6cker kan g\u00f6ras utifr\u00e5n olika kriterier (efternamn, f\u00f6rnamn, mellannamn p\u00e5 f\u00f6rfattaren, bokens titel, serie, genrer) samt l\u00e4sa dem genom programmet som som standard \u00e4r installerat i systemet f\u00f6r att \u00f6ppna de aktuella filformaten. N\u00e4r en bok v\u00e4ljs, visas en sammanfattning och bokens omslag, om dessa \u00e4r tillg\u00e4ngliga. St\u00f6d f\u00f6r att visa listan \u00f6ver filer som ing\u00e5r i kollektionen, samt listan \u00f6ver b\u00f6cker som ing\u00e5r i en specifik fil, finns.    <\/p>\n<p>Flera olika operationer kan utf\u00f6ras p\u00e5 kollektionen: uppdatering (som kontrollerar hela kollektionen och verifierar hash-v\u00e4rden f\u00f6r tillg\u00e4ngliga filer), export och import av databas f\u00f6r kollektionen, l\u00e4gga till b\u00f6cker i kollektionen och ta bort b\u00f6cker fr\u00e5n kollektionen, l\u00e4gga till mappar med b\u00f6cker i kollektionen, l\u00e4gga till arkiv med b\u00f6cker i kollektionen, kopiera b\u00f6cker fr\u00e5n kollektionen till valfri mapp, flytta b\u00f6cker mellan kollektioner. Manuell redigering av poster om b\u00f6cker i databasen \u00e4r tillg\u00e4nglig.
