Baserat p\u00e5 plattformen SUSE Linux Enterprise har produkter s\u00e5som SUSE Linux Enterprise Server, SUSE Linux Enterprise Desktop, SUSE Linux Enterprise High Performance Computing och SUSE Linux Enterprise High Availability Extension skapats. Distributionen kan laddas ner och anv\u00e4ndas gratis, men tillg\u00e5ngen till uppdateringar och buggfixar begr\u00e4nsas av en 60-dagars testperiod. Versionen finns tillg\u00e4nglig i byggnader f\u00f6r arkitekturerna aarch64, ppc64le, s390x och x86_64. Utgivningen kommer att st\u00f6djas fram till juni 2031, f\u00f6rutom de ut\u00f6kade supportprogrammen LTSS och LTSS Core, som kommer att g\u00e4lla fram till 2034 respektive 2037.        <\/p>\n<p>Till skillnad fr\u00e5n tidigare utg\u00e5vor planeras det inte att skapa en release av openSUSE Leap 15.7 baserad p\u00e5 SUSE Linux Enterprise 15 SP7. Som eftertr\u00e4dare till openSUSE Leap 15.6 kommer openSUSE Leap 16.0, vars release f\u00f6rv\u00e4ntas i h\u00f6st. openSUSE Leap 16 \u00e4r baserad p\u00e5 teknologierna fr\u00e5n den under utveckling befintliga grenen SUSE Linux Enterprise 16, men beh\u00e5ller egenskaperna hos en klassisk distribution som anv\u00e4nder traditionella paket. Denna version anv\u00e4nder ocks\u00e5 en ny installationsprogramvara, implementeringen av ett mandatkontrollsystem via SELinux har gjorts och st\u00f6det f\u00f6r Wayland har bevarats.      <\/p>\n<p>De viktigaste f\u00f6r\u00e4ndringarna i SUSE Linux Enterprise 15 SP7:  <\/p>\n<ul>\n<li class=\"l\"> Distributionen forts\u00e4tter att anv\u00e4nda Linux-k\u00e4rnan 6.4, i vilken ytterligare funktioner har backportats fr\u00e5n nyare grenar. Till exempel har \u00e4ndringar relaterade till UEFI, nyckellager och ACPI \u00f6verf\u00f6rts fr\u00e5n version 6.11. St\u00f6det f\u00f6r MSA 10 XTS, MSA 11 HMAC och MSA 12 SHA3 har lagts till i kryptosubsystemet. M\u00f6jligheten till CPU-belastningsbalansering med hj\u00e4lp av cgroupv2 har implementerats. Koden f\u00f6r att st\u00f6dja USB4 har uppdaterats.      <\/li>\n<li class=\"l\"> Versionerna av paketen har uppdaterats, inklusive GCC 14, Python 3.13, OpenJDK 21, Node.js 22, PHP 8.3, OpenSSL 3.2, binutils 2.43.10, gdb 14.2, go 1.24.2, Rust 1.86, Ruby 3.4, Valkey 8.0.2 (ist\u00e4llet f\u00f6r Redis), PostgreSQL 17. Skrivbordsmilj\u00f6n levereras fortsatt med GNOME 45, men paketet Mesa har uppdaterats till version 24.2.\n<li class=\"l\"> Som standard \u00e4r st\u00f6det f\u00f6r post-kvantalgoritmer f\u00f6r kryptering aktiverat, tillg\u00e4ngliga i OpenSSL, s\u00e5som algoritmen f\u00f6r nyckelutbyte ML-KEM (CRYSTALS-Kyber), som \u00e4r motst\u00e5ndskraftig mot bruteforce p\u00e5 kvantdatorer.\n<li class=\"l\"> St\u00f6det f\u00f6r h\u00e5rdvara har utvidgats och enheter har f\u00e5tt uppdaterade drivrutiner. St\u00f6d har implementerats f\u00f6r serverplattformar som Intel Birch Stream, klient-CPU:er som Intel Arrow och Lunar Lake, AMD-processorer baserade p\u00e5 mikroarkitekturen Zen 5, GPU:er som AMD Navi 4x samt plattformar som IBM z17 och LinuxONE 5.
