Distributionen anv\u00e4nder en egen paketf\u00f6rvaltare och en atom\u00e4r uppdateringsmodell f\u00f6r systemet. Utvecklingen leds av det gamla teamet av utvecklare fr\u00e5n distributionen Solus, d\u00e4ribland Ikey Doherty \u2014 skaparen av Solus, och Joshua Strobl \u2014 nyckelutvecklaren av skrivbordsmilj\u00f6n Budgie. Den startbara iso-avbildningen (2,4 GB) har skapats f\u00f6r arkitekturen x86_64 och levereras med skrivbordsmilj\u00f6n GNOME. <\/p>\n<p>Distributionen anv\u00e4nder pakethanteraren moss med sitt eget paketformat Stone och verktyg f\u00f6r att hantera systemstatus. F\u00f6r att spara diskutrymme n\u00e4r flera versioner av paketet lagras anv\u00e4nds deduplicering baserad p\u00e5 h\u00e5rda l\u00e4nkar. Uppdatering sker i atom\u00e4rt l\u00e4ge med \u00f6verskrivning av inneh\u00e5llet i partitionen \/usr. Om en installation misslyckas \u00e5terst\u00e4lls systemet till det tidigare fungerande tillst\u00e5ndet. <\/p>\n<p>St\u00f6rsta delen av paketen, inklusive Linux-k\u00e4rnan, har sammanst\u00e4llts med hj\u00e4lp av kompilatorn Clang. Med undantag f\u00f6r k\u00e4rnan och vissa systemkomponenter till\u00e4mpas \u00e4ndringarna omedelbart, utan behov av omstart. Den nya installat\u00f6ren erbjuder ett f\u00f6rb\u00e4ttrat textgr\u00e4nssnitt med st\u00f6d f\u00f6r automatisk partitionering (utan manuell partitionering), anv\u00e4ndning av Btrfs, best\u00e4mning av listan \u00f6ver installerade paket i filen system-model.kdl, och konfiguration av Wi-Fi och tangentbordslayout under installationssteget. Till skillnad fr\u00e5n den gamla installat\u00f6ren har den nya \u00e4nnu inte implementerat partitioneringskryptering och dual boot.\n<li class=\"l\"> St\u00f6d f\u00f6r uppgradering av firmware har lagts till med anv\u00e4ndning av verktyget fwupd och repositoryt LVFS (Linux Vendor Firmware Service).\n<li class=\"l\"> I paketf\u00f6rvaltaren moss har kommandoradsgr\u00e4nssnittet omarbetats f\u00f6r att \u00f6verensst\u00e4mma med den deklarativa modellen f\u00f6r systeminneh\u00e5ll (system-model).
