Projektet utvecklas av den tjeckiska namnregistret CZ.NIC, skriven i C och <noindex><a rel=\"nofollow\" href=\"https:\/\/github.com\/CZ-NIC\/knot\">sprids<\/a><\/noindex> under GPLv3 license. The server is designed for high-performance request processing, using a multithreaded and mostly non-blocking implementation that scales well on SMP systems. Features include adding and removing zones on the fly, zone transfers between servers, DDNS (dynamic updates), NSID (RFC 5001), EDNS0 extensions, and DNSSEC (including NSEC3), and response rate
