Under arbetets g\u00e5ng, som <noindex><a rel=\"nofollow\" href=\"https:\/\/bgrins.github.io\/xbl-analysis\/\">p\u00e5gick<\/a><\/noindex> sedan 2017, har cirka 300 olika bindningar som anv\u00e4nde XBL tagits bort fr\u00e5n koden, och ungef\u00e4r 40 000 rader kod har skrivits om. De angivna komponenterna har ersatts med analoger baserade p\u00e5 <noindex><a rel=\"nofollow\" href=\"https:\/\/developer.mozilla.org\/en-US\/docs\/Web\/Web_Components\">Web Components<\/a><\/noindex>, skrivna med vanliga web-teknologier.<\/p>\n<p>XBL anv\u00e4ndes f\u00f6r att organisera gr\u00e4nssnittet i Firefox och till\u00e4t skapandet av bindningar som f\u00f6r\u00e4ndrar beteendet hos widgets p\u00e5 spr\u00e5ket XUL. \u00c5r 2017 klassificerade Mozilla XBL och XUL som f\u00f6r\u00e5ldrade och avbr\u00f6t st\u00f6det f\u00f6r till\u00e4gg skrivna med dessa teknologier i Firefox 57. Samtidigt <noindex><a rel=\"nofollow\" href=\"https:\/\/briangrinstead.com\/blog\/xbl-in-firefox\/\">har arbetet inletts<\/a><\/noindex> i omskrivningen av komponenter bundna till XBL\/XUL i Firefox.
