F\u00f6r att s\u00e4kerst\u00e4lla b\u00e4rbarhet har delar av koden fr\u00e5n projekten OpenNTPD, OpenSSH och LibreSSL anv\u00e4nts. F\u00f6rutom OpenBSD erbjuds st\u00f6d f\u00f6r Linux och FreeBSD. OpenBGPD har testats i Debian 9, Ubuntu 14.04 och FreeBSD 12. <\/p>\n<p>Utvecklingen av OpenBGPD sker med <noindex><a rel=\"nofollow\" href=\"https:\/\/www.opennet.ru\/opennews\/art.shtml?num=49682\">st\u00f6d fr\u00e5n<\/a><\/noindex> den regionala Internetregistratorn RIPE NCC, som \u00e4r intresserad av att g\u00f6ra OpenBGPD:s funktionalitet anv\u00e4ndbar p\u00e5 servrar f\u00f6r routing vid punkter f\u00f6r interoperationell trafikbytes (IXP) och skapa ett fullst\u00e4ndigt alternativ till paketet <noindex><a rel=\"nofollow\" href=\"https:\/\/bird.network.cz\/\">BIRD<\/a><\/noindex> (bland andra \u00f6ppna alternativ med implementation av BGP-protokollet kan n\u00e4mnas projekten <noindex><a rel=\"nofollow\" href=\"https:\/\/www.opennet.ru\/opennews\/art.shtml?num=46323\">FRRouting<\/a><\/noindex>, <noindex><a rel=\"nofollow\" href=\"https:\/\/www.opennet.ru\/opennews\/art.shtml?num=44268\">GoBGP<\/a><\/noindex>, <noindex><a rel=\"nofollow\" href=\"https:\/\/github.com\/Exa-Networks\/exabgp\">ExaBGP<\/a><\/noindex> och <noindex><a rel=\"nofollow\" href=\"https:\/\/github.com\/bio-routing\/bio-rd\">Bio-Routing<\/a><\/noindex>). <\/p>\n<p>I utvecklingen av OpenBGPD l\u00e4ggs stor vikt vid att s\u00e4kerst\u00e4lla maximal s\u00e4kerhet och tillf\u00f6rlitlighet. F\u00f6r skydd anv\u00e4nds strikt validering av alla parametrar, verktyg f\u00f6r att \u00f6vervaka f\u00f6ljsamheten till buffertgr\u00e4nser, privilegiedelning och begr\u00e4nsning av \u00e5tkomst till systemanrop. F\u00f6rdelarna inkluderar \u00e4ven en enkel syntax f\u00f6r konfigurationsspr\u00e5k, h\u00f6g prestanda och effektivitet i minnesanv\u00e4ndning (till exempel kan OpenBGPD hantera routingtabeller med hundratusentals poster). Projektet st\u00f6der st\u00f6rre delen av BGP 4-specifikationerna och uppfyller kraven i RFC8212, men f\u00f6rs\u00f6ker inte omfatta allt och fokuserar fr\u00e4mst p\u00e5 att st\u00f6dja de mest efterfr\u00e5gade och utbredda funktionerna.<\/p>\n<p>I den h\u00e4r utg\u00e5van av OpenBGPD 6.6 har f\u00f6ljande f\u00f6rb\u00e4ttringar noterats:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li class=\"l\"> F\u00f6r att \u00f6ka
