F\u00f6rutom Debian och dess derivat anv\u00e4nds APT ocks\u00e5 i vissa distributioner som \u00e4r baserade p\u00e5 RPM-pakethanteraren, som PCLinuxOS och ALT Linux. Den nya versionen har sammanf\u00f6rt \u00e4ndringar som samlats in under utvecklingen av den experimentella grenen 1.9.x. Det nya sl\u00e4ppet kommer snart <noindex><a rel=\"nofollow\" href=\"https:\/\/packages.debian.org\/source\/sid\/apt\">integrerad<\/a><\/noindex> i Debian Unstable och i paketdatabasen <noindex><a rel=\"nofollow\" href=\"https:\/\/launchpad.net\/ubuntu\/eoan\/+source\/apt\">Ubuntu<\/a><\/noindex> (experimentell gren 1.9 anv\u00e4ndes i Ubuntu 19.10).<\/p>\n<p>Av <noindex><a rel=\"nofollow\" href=\"https:\/\/launchpad.net\/ubuntu\/+source\/apt\/+changelog\">\u00e4ndringar<\/a><\/noindex> Tillagd support f\u00f6r Synopsys ARC HS (ARCv2 ISA) processorer. F\u00f6r porteringen kr\u00e4vs minst binutils 2.32, gcc 8.3 och Linux-k\u00e4rna 5.1. Tre varianter av ABI st\u00f6ds: arc-linux-gnu, arc-linux-gnuhf och arceb-linux-gnu (big-endian);\n<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li class=\"l\"> I kommandon som tar paketnamn har st\u00f6d f\u00f6r <noindex><a rel=\"nofollow\" href=\"http:\/\/manpages.ubuntu.com\/manpages\/focal\/man7\/apt-patterns.7.html\">mallar<\/a><\/noindex>lagts till. Syntaxen f\u00f6r mallar f\u00f6ljer huvudsakligen stilen f\u00f6r aptitude-mallar. St\u00f6det f\u00f6r maskering och regulj\u00e4ra uttryck i argumenten f\u00f6r kommandot apt har upph\u00f6rt och ist\u00e4llet b\u00f6r mallar anv\u00e4ndas. Till exempel f\u00f6r att lista alla manuellt installerade paket som inneh\u00e5ller orden libs, perl och python:\n<p>    apt lista \u2018~i !~M (~slibs|~sperl|~spython)\u2019<\/p>\n<li class=\"l\"> Kommandona \u2018apt satisfy\u2019 och \u2018apt-get satisfy\u2019 har lagts till, vilket g\u00f6r det m\u00f6jligt att installera paket som kr\u00e4vs f\u00f6r att tillgodose beroenden angivna i str\u00e4ngen som ges som argument. Flera str\u00e4ngar kan listas, och \u2018Conflicts:\u2019 block kan anges f\u00f6r att undanta beroenden. Som standard \u00e4r v\u00e4ntetiden vid k\u00f6rning fr\u00e5n terminalen obegr\u00e4nsad, medan den i andra fall \u00e4r 120 sekunder.\n<li class=\"l\"> Om apt misslyckas med att installera l\u00e5sningen, visas nu ett felmeddelande som anger namnet och pid-processen som h\u00e5ller lock-filen.\n<\/li>\n<li class=\"l\"> Kommandona merge-translations och bump-abi har lagts till.\n<li class=\"l\"> F\u00f6r kryptografisk hashing anv\u00e4nds implementationer av MD5, SHA1 och SHA2 fr\u00e5n biblioteket libgcrypt.\n<li class=\"l\"> Parallelliseringen av k\u00f6rning av hanterare <noindex><a rel=\"nofollow\" href=\"https:\/\/manpages.debian.org\/jessie\/apt-file\/diffindex-rred.1\">rred<\/a><\/noindex> och dekomprimering under tiden en uppdateringskommando k\u00f6rs har f\u00f6rst\u00e4rkts.\n<li class=\"l\"> De konton som anges i auth.conf-filen \u00f6verf\u00f6rs nu endast vid HTTPS-anrop f\u00f6r att f\u00f6rhindra l\u00e4ckage vid avlyssning av HTTP-anslutningar.\n<\/li>\n<li class=\"l\"> Kravet p\u00e5 C++-standardversionen har h\u00f6jts till C++14.\n<\/li>\n<li class=\"l\"> St\u00f6det f\u00f6r att ange flera hashv\u00e4rden f\u00f6r en fil har lagts till i apt-helper.\n<\/li>\n<li class=\"l\"> Biblioteken libapt-inst och libapt-pkg har slagits samman.\n<li class=\"l\"> Cacheformatet har moderniserats, vilket nu m\u00f6jligg\u00f6r till\u00e4gg av nya poster utan att bryta ABI.
