S\u00e5rbarheten beror p\u00e5 en brist i koden som kontrollerar de filtyper som laddas upp och som anv\u00e4nds f\u00f6r att bifoga bilder till kommentarer. F\u00f6r att begr\u00e4nsa uppladdning av godtyckliga filer anropades en funktion f\u00f6r att identifiera MIME-typen baserat p\u00e5 inneh\u00e5llet, som l\u00e4tt kunde kringg\u00e5s f\u00f6r att ladda upp PHP-filer. Fil\u00e4ndelsen var inte begr\u00e4nsad.
