文档基金会宣布已将 LibreOffice Viewer Android 应用程序与当前的 LibreOffice 代码库同步，并将该应用程序放置在 Google Play 目录中。
LibreOffice Viewer 是适用于 Android 智能手机和平板电脑的 LibreOffice 轻量级版本，用于查看开放文档格式（.odt、.ods、.odp）和 Microsoft Office（.docx、.xlsx、.pptx）文档。
LibreOffice Viewer 还具有可以在应用程序设置中启用的实验性编辑功能，但不认为它们已准备好用于生产使用。
此前，LibreOffice Viewer 已在 Google Play 上提供，但在 2020 年由于缺乏支持而被从 Google Play 中删除。 从那时起，为了提高应用程序的可用性和稳定性，已经进行了两百多项更改。
在 Google Play 商店中重新发布该应用程序后，LibreOffice Viewer 再次向用户开放。 需要Android 5.0及以上版本才能使用。
