Azure includes built-in security management tools for data, applications, computing, networking, identity, and threat protection, allowing for customizable safeguards and integration of partner solutions.
We continue to invest in security, and we're excited to share cool updates announced last week at Hannover Messe 2019. Among them are Advanced Threat Protection for Azure Storage, Compliance Dashboard, and Support for Virtual Machine Scale Sets. of virtual machines (Virtual Machine Scale Sets) (VMSS). The following features, announced at Hannover Messe 2019, are now available for Azure Security Center:
- Advanced Threat Protection for Azure Storage — A protection level that helps customers detect potential threats in their storage accounts and respond as they arise — without needing to be a security expert.
- Compliance Dashboard — Helps Security Center customers streamline the compliance process by providing information about their compliance status for a set of supported standards and regulations.
- Support for Virtual Machine Scale Sets (VMSS) — easily monitor the security status of your VMSS with security recommendations.
- Dedicated Hardware Security Module (HSM) (available in the UK, Canada, and Australia) — Provides cryptographic key storage in Azure and meets the most stringent security requirements and customer compliance.
- Support for Azure Disk Encryption for VMSS — Azure Disk Encryption can now be enabled for VMSS Windows and Linux in public Azure regions — giving customers the ability to secure and store VMSS data at rest using standard encryption technology.
