Qualcomm has announced the QCS400 series of chips that will be used in smart speakers, acoustic panels and other audio devices for the modern home.
The family includes products QCS403, QCS404, QCS405 and QCS407. All of them provide support for Wi-Fi 802.11ac and Bluetooth 5.1 wireless communications, as well as Zigbee technology.
Chip-based devices can be equipped with an array of four microphones for receiving voice commands for an intelligent assistant. It is said about the possibility of using noise suppression means.
The QCS403 solution has two computing cores. This processor is suitable for smart speakers and other gadgets with a voice assistant.
The QCS404 chip, in turn, contains four cores. It is designed for "smart" speakers with advanced features.
The QCS405 quad-core product with Qualcomm Adreno 306 graphics accelerator is suitable for soundbars as well as home theater systems.
Finally, the QCS407 model, equipped with a Qualcomm Adreno 306 accelerator, will find application in receivers and other audiovisual devices.
