As expected, Samsung has announced the mid-range smartphone Galaxy A40, which will go on sale in the European market on April 10th.
The device is equipped with a Full HD + Infinity-U Super AMOLED display. The panel size is 5,9 inches diagonally, the resolution is 2280 × 1080 pixels.
There is a small notch at the top of the screen: it houses a selfie camera based on a 25-megapixel sensor. The main camera is made in the form of a dual block with sensors for 16 million and 5 million pixels. There is also a fingerprint scanner on the back panel.
The smartphone uses a proprietary Exynos 7885 processor. This chip has eight processing cores with a clock speed of up to 2,2 GHz and a Mali-G71 MP2 graphics accelerator.
In the arsenal of new items - 4 GB of RAM and a flash drive with a capacity of 64 GB. Additionally, users will be able to install a microSD card.
Other characteristics of the device are as follows: wireless adapters Wi-Fi 802.11ac (2,4 / 5 GHz) and Bluetooth 4.2, GPS / GLONASS receiver, NFC module, USB Type-C port, FM tuner and 3,5 mm jack for headphones.
The device is powered by a 3100 mAh battery. The dimensions of the device are 144,3 × 69,1 × 7,9 mm. The operating system used is Android 9.0 (Pie) with Samsung One UI add-on.
The Galaxy A40 smartphone will be available for an estimated price of 250 euros. Various color options are available, including black, white and blue.
