On July 11, the Skolkovo Technopark will host a conference for the fair sex, dedicated to the prospects for career development in the IT field. The event was organized by the Almamat company, the Russian Association of Electronic Communications (RAEC) and the Skolkovo Technopark.
During the conference, one of the most pressing problems of the labor market will be considered - the upcoming massive layoffs in Russia and around the world.
ALMA_conf will touch upon the topics of gender inequality in the IT industry, discuss futuristic forecasts of the personnel market associated with the development of technological progress and the reduction of unclaimed professions, as well as career development prospects in the field of innovation and the role of women in preventing the negative consequences of replacing a person with artificial intelligence.
More than 400 people will take part in the event. 30 speakers, including IT industry professionals, heads of large Russian and international companies, leading experts in the technology business, will share their knowledge and personal experience, discuss obstacles and ways to overcome them on the way to a successful career in IT: what trends should you focus on when choosing specialty, how to combine career and family, while maintaining life balance.
The conference program includes a plenary part, as well as a discussion panel, where experts in the talk show format will discuss personal branding, leadership and success secrets in IT, women's business, psychology and lifestyle, analyze common goals, hidden fears and desires in order to realize women's potential and contribute to positive changes in life.
βThe key task of ALMA_conf is to enter into a direct dialogue with representatives of the IT industry and identify the main causes of the global staff shortage in technology companies, as well as determine the cause of gender inequality among IT specialists. In Russia, the audience of women in IT companies is no more than 20%. With this event, we would like to draw the attention of Russian women to the prospects for career development in IT, thereby neutralizing the consequences of mass layoffs in specialties that are no longer in demand on the labor market due to the introduction of technology, artificial intelligence and business process automation, βsaid Dmitry Grin , co-founder of Almamat.
