During the June E3 2019 exhibition, Konami announced about the release of the arcade action game Contra: Rogue Corps, scheduled for September 24, with a third-person view and support for cooperative play. Now, IGN has shared an 11-minute gameplay video that also gives a glimpse of 4-player co-op on a shared screen.

Contra III: The Alien Wars and Contra: Hard Corps director Nobuya Nakazato is behind this project. The events of the new part unfold a few years after the finale of Alien Wars. The main characters are former military men who make money by bounty hunting and treasure hunting in the Cursed City. The authors promise monstrous opponents, excessive cruelty and obscene language with obscene humor. The game is rated 18+ and is not allowed for children.

There is a choice of 4 characters with their own skills and special moves. More than 100 types of weapons will be offered: players will be able to customize and create unique weapons using collected resources, as well as upgrade their character with bionic body parts. Contra: Rogue Corps will feature a story-driven campaign filled with challenging missions and hordes of enemies. You can play solo, with a group of up to 4 friends, or with random players. It is possible to create your own matches in private mode.

Contra: Rogue Corps will be released on PC, PlayStation 4, Xbox One and Switch, and on pre-order on Steam now on sale for β‚½725 and includes digital cosmetics.
