Apple iCloud may appear in the Microsoft Store

Microsoft has put a lot of effort into making the Microsoft Store a viable platform. Unfortunately, the results were not as good as we would like, which is the fault of the company's policy. The store still doesn't have apps from Apple, Spotify, Adobe, and others. But it looks like this is about to change.

Apple iCloud may appear in the Microsoft Store

A well-known WalkingCat insider, who has leaked information about Microsoft's plans more than once, has found evidence confirming that an iCloud application may soon appear in the Microsoft Store. Thus, if the Cupertino corporation does not cancel the project, this will be the second Apple application in the Microsoft Store. The first was iTunes, which came out last year.

At the same time, we note that the Win32-based iCloud application has been available on Windows for a long time. It is possible that the company is porting it to the format of universal programs using the Centennial technology, which was also used for iTunes. Thus, the number of "apple" programs will expand.

At the same time, we recall that iCloud in Win32 format had a problem at one time - after the crushing fiasco with Windows 10 October 2018 and its re-release, the iCloud desktop application refused to install. The reason was "too new system". This prevented users from updating and syncing shared photo albums. The problem was solved in a few days, but, as they say, the sediment remained.

It is hoped that such failures will not be repeated with a future UWP application when it appears in the Microsoft Store.
