The authors of Little Nightmares suddenly released a new game The Stretchers, and it's a Nintendo Switch exclusive

Swedish studio Tarsier is currently developing a sequel to the successful horror platformer Little Nightmares, but, as it turned out, until recently, she was working on another game. It was released on November 8 without prior announcement, exclusively for the Nintendo Switch. The Stretchers is not at all like the previous work of the team - this is a humorous arcade game about an ambulance.

In the story, the carefree inhabitants of a fictional Icelandic island began to suffer from dizziness after they were hypnotized by the "self-proclaimed genius" Captain Blaine (Captain Blaine). Players need to drive around the city and provide medical assistance to the victims as quickly as possible in order to prevent mass panic. The mood of The Stretchers is reminiscent of Theme Hospital and Two Point Hospital, and in terms of gameplay - Crazy Taxi with puzzles. The machine is able to break through walls, soar into the air, flying around traffic jams, overcome pits on the roads and reservoirs. Patients are allowed to put several pieces on a stretcher at once, but it is still necessary to monitor their condition during transportation. The goal is to get them to the De-Dizzler 3000 device that cures dizziness.

During each rescue operation in the surroundings, you can find bonuses and earn extra points. Also available are secondary missions and customization (setting up the car and the appearance of the characters). The game supports multiplayer: a second player can control the ambulance using a second Joy-Con controller.

In the Russian segment Nintendo eShop The Stretchers is offered for 1 rubles. It is not yet known if the game will appear on other platforms.

Studio Tarsier was founded in 2004 in MalmΓΆ. Released in 2017, Little Nightmares was her first full-fledged project - she previously worked on add-ons for games from other companies, including games in the LittleBigPlanet series, and also helped develop Tearaway Unfolded. Little Nightmares was released on three home platforms, and later appeared on the Nintendo Switch. Journalists praised it highly, noting the dark tense atmosphere, inventive horror elements, sophisticated aesthetics and masterful soundtrack. Rating on Metacritic varies from 78 to 83 points out of 100. In August 2018, the developers сообщили about a million copies of the game sold.

Little Nightmares 2 was announced at gamescom 2019. The sequel will control a new character named Mono (Mono), and the heroine of the first part of the Six (Six), who managed to escape from the ship "WombΒ» (Maw), will appear as an AI-controlled companion. Together they will have to get into the Signal Tower. The game is scheduled to release in 2020 on PC, PlayStation 4, Xbox One and Nintendo Switch.
