BioWare Reveals Unused Mass Effect Concept Drawings

Yesterday in honor of N7 day at Anthem появились Mass Effect race skins for javelins. However, the celebration didn't stop there: members of the BioWare team took to Twitter to celebrate the day. And although the public was never presented with a re-release of the original trilogy, players offered to take a look to never-before-seen Mass Effect concept art.

Casey Hudson commented on the four published drawings: "We have so many ideas about what we want to do in Mass Effect, so many concepts that haven't been brought to life yet, and so many stories yet to come." tell". The drawings are clearly from the era of the original trilogy.

Both Normandy and Mako can be seen in different environments. Of particular interest is perhaps the water planet in the final image - it appears to be the ocean planet Kahye, the homeworld of the hanar. Subsequently, the drell settled there, evacuating from their dying home planet - due to the humid and unsuitable climate for the latter, they settled in domed cities with climate control.

Players never saw Kahye in the games themselves, although Thane Krios, Shepard's partner and friend, talked a lot about her. A domed city like the one pictured was eventually visited by Liara T'Soni in the Homeworlds spin-off comic.

Overall, N7 Day was pretty quiet this year (although it's good that the aforementioned expensive Mass Effect-themed cosmetics for Anthem didn't get a lot of attention). Perhaps the most positive thing for fans was the confirmation that the universe is on pause and not closed forever - most likely, BioWare will take over it after the launch of Dragon Age 4.
