The British company Graphcore, specializing in the development of AI chips, is urgently seeking new funding to continue its activities, according to Bloomberg. Graphcore's position has seriously deteriorated amid rising losses and declining revenue. In 2020, Graphcore announced a new class of accelerators it called IPU: Intelligence Processing Unit. These solutions were supposed to compete with NVIDIA products, but the business has struggled to find traction even with the current generative AI boom.
