The developers noted that the collected funds will help add two new locations - the Red Forest and the Nuclear Power Plant. Chernobylite will have a weapon crafting system (in demonstrations the trial version was only the creation of some items and consumables). The protagonist's team will have another partner, a techno-shaman nicknamed Tarakan. The money received will allow the implementation of subtitles in German, English, Italian, Spanish and French.

The developers will go to Chernobyl again to record background sounds that will appear in Chernobylite. Previously, they already visited the crash site and carried out a three-dimensional scan of the territory. Soon The Farm 51 will share with fans news about the further progress of the project.

Chernobylite will be released on Steam Early Access in November 2019, with a full release a year later.
