The update will add support for Steamworks and fix some audio bugs. Thanks to the return of the source code, developers will be able to transfer add-ons that were previously released on consoles to the PC version. Another important innovation will be the optimization of Saints Row 2 for PC with modern components.

The work on the update will be done by a team of two people. As a reminder, Saints Row 2 was released on October 14, 2008 on PC, PS3 and Xbox 360. Now on Steam the game has 75% positive reviews out of a total of 6187 reviews.
