Specialist and insider Jane Wong reportedthat this feature can be enabled by default for biometric identification. At the same time, according to her, the system will not send photos to the company's servers every time. That is, identification will be carried out locally.

And Facebook Technical Manager Alexandru Voica (Alexandru Voica) clarifiedthat Facebook will not use embedded biometrics to improve security. Instead, the technology uses recognition mechanisms in Android itself. In any case, the fact of using a biometric system can be considered proven.

This technology will make it difficult for unauthorized people to follow the user's messages. Although, in fairness, this can cause problems if the child blocks the messenger.

The feature is currently experimental, so it is not clear when it will be released and how soon it will be released on mobile platforms. So far, we know that the new feature will allow you to automatically block Messenger immediately after signing out, a minute after that, 15 minutes or an hour. It is possible that in the future there will be more options or the ability to flexibly configure the "timeout".
