FAS may fine Yandex for 500 rubles

The message states that contextual advertising of works and services for confirming conformity provided by FastSert was recognized by members of the FAS commission as improper. The company featured in the promotional content was not accredited in the national accreditation system. This means that the contextual advertising of the previously mentioned enterprise violates the current legislation.

Representatives of the FAS explained that we are talking about an advertising campaign that was carried out in December 2018 using the Yandex.Direct platform. The advertisements included a hyperlink to the website of a company that offers product certification services. However, this company did not pass the appropriate accreditation and was not included in the register on the Rosaccreditation website.

The FAS Commission issued an order according to which the advertiser (Fastkomsert LLC) and the advertising distributor (Yandex LLC) must stop violating the law. The materials collected during the audit should become the basis for initiating cases of an administrative offense. Ultimately, each of the companies can be fined. The amount of the fine will be determined later, the amount may vary from 100 to 000 rubles.

Representatives of the Yandex press service have so far refrained from commenting on this issue.
