Foresight Games has revealed its new game, Project Haven, a tactical turn-based dystopian RPG in development for PC (in there is already a corresponding page).
The release date and the possibility of appearing on other platforms have not yet been announced. Set in the near-future city of Haven City, players take control of a squad of mercenaries against gangsters, rival mercenaries, and corrupt government forces.
Foresight Games promises a unique combat system that "combines turn-based tactics with free aiming and navigation." At its core, the game mechanics are similar to XCOM and its clones, but there are differences. The free navigation mentioned above removes the tiled board from the game, so you can move your heroes as you please.
As you progress, you will receive not only new weapons, but also develop characters and unlock unique skills. Foresight Games promises a single player mode, co-op for three people and a skirmish mode in randomly generated locations.
