Google Camera 7.2 brings astrophotography and Super Res Zoom modes to older Pixel smartphones

Of greatest interest is the astrophotography mode, which is designed to capture stars and various kinds of space activity using a smartphone. Using this mode, users can take night photos with a high level of detail. To start the astrophotography mode, it is enough to place the smartphone on a flat surface or on a tripod. After that, the device will automatically focus and enter the astrophotography mode, which will allow you to take impressive pictures of the night sky.

In addition, the application gets the Super Res Zoom mode, which first appeared in the previous generation of Pixel smartphones. In this mode, the smartphone takes several photos at the same time, which are then processed and combined into one photo with high detail.

The report states that these modes have been tested with Google Camera 7.2 on the Pixel 2, but will most likely also be available to owners of previous versions of the smartphone.

It is worth saying that the Google Camera application is very popular among users of different smartphones, as it has a number of unique features and allows you to take better photos. The new version of the popular application has already been ported to some smartphones, whose owners will be able to take advantage of new features in the near future.
