Google Stadia: 30-35 Mbps will be enough to stream the game in 4K

Many gamers are skeptical about game streaming services - there are legitimate doubts about the ability of the platform holder to provide a quality experience. Google Vice President Phil Harrison at the GamesBeat Summit 2019 expressed his confidence that the broadband connection in many countries is more than enough for Google Stadia.

“We are studying broadband very carefully, as you can imagine, and very deeply. In the markets where we will be launching, where we plan to introduce [Google Stadia] in the future, broadband more than meets the most ambitious aspects of our plan,” said Phil Harrison. - The bandwidth required to use Google Stadia at its highest level is only 30-35 Mbps, and this is for a 4K game. 20-25 Mbps is enough for less, so we don't need huge bandwidth."

Recall that the launch of Google Stadia is scheduled in the US, Canada, UK and Western Europe in the second half of 2019. Someone in the audience asked Harrison if there were any plans to bring the service to the Chinese market. He replied that such a market cannot be ignored, but at the moment there is nothing to announce. In Russia, Google Stadia will not work at launch either.
