Blogger Ice Universe, who has repeatedly published reliable data on upcoming new products from the mobile world, predicts the emergence of smartphones with ultra-high resolution cameras.
It is stated, in particular, that cameras with a 108-megapixel matrix will appear in cellular devices. Support for sensors with such a high resolution is already for a range of Qualcomm processors, including the mid-range Snapdragon 675 and Snapdragon 710 chips, as well as the high-end Snapdragon 855.
In addition, according to Ice Universe, the cameras of the next generation of "smart" cellular devices will have a 10x optical zoom.
Devices with the described characteristics are expected to debut next year. True, Ice Universe does not specify which manufacturers are the first to announce such smartphones.
We also add that in 2020, the era of smartphones with support for fifth-generation mobile networks (5G) is expected to flourish. This year, the supply of such devices will be limited - approximately 13 million units worldwide (according to Canalys forecast).
