Huawei announced that it has filed lawsuits against the telecommunications operator Verizon in the US District Courts of the Eastern and Western Districts of Texas in connection with violation of its copyrights.
The company is seeking compensation for the operator's use of its technologies, including network solutions and video communications, protected by 12 patents registered in the United States.
The company said that prior to filing the lawsuits, it had been in negotiations with Verizon for a significant period of time, during which it provided a detailed list of patents and actual evidence of Verizon's use of its patents. However, the parties were unable to reach an agreement on the terms of the license.
