Chinese tech giant Huawei is actively working to reduce dependence on US companies and create alternatives to Google apps and services. The announcement of the new support program was made at a developer conference in London hosted by a Chinese company. The active support of developers around the world is a forced step that Huawei took after the introduction of US sanctions prohibiting US companies from working with a Chinese manufacturer. As a result of the bans, Huawei cannot use Google's proprietary apps and services on its new smartphones.

As a result, Huawei had to focus on creating its own ecosystem of mobile applications, replacing inaccessible software and services with similar solutions. Recently, the Chinese company released a set of software solutions for developers that will simplify the process of integrating applications into the Huawei App Gallery branded content store. As a result of this activity, mobile application developers have received an additional incentive, prompting them to focus on creating software for the company, which is the second largest smartphone manufacturer in the world. Currently, Huawei has about 600 million active mobile device users in more than 170 countries, 68 million of which live in Europe.
