The social network Instagram continues to fight against graphic images, one way or another connected with suicide or harming oneself. The new ban on the publication of this kind of material applies to drawn images, comics, memes, as well as excerpts from films and cartoons.

Instagram's official developer blog states that users of the social network will be prohibited from posting images related to suicide or harming themselves. The social network's algorithms will be used to find and remove drawings, comics, film and cartoon clips that show scenes of self-harm or suicide.

It is worth noting that back in February of this year, Instagram representatives announced the launch of a campaign to combat content that shows people harming themselves. Since then, a warning that the user may be exposed to "potentially inappropriate content" has been added to more than 834 posts. It is noteworthy that 000% of such content was discovered by special algorithms before complaints from users began to arrive.
