Study: 2025G to be dominated by US, China, Japan and South Korea by 5 - Europe behind

According to a study by GSMA Intelligence, a division of the GSM Association, by 2025, users in China, the United States, Japan and South Korea will account for more than half of all 5G ultra-high-speed mobile network subscribers, leaving Europe behind.

“It will be a small group of countries that will lead the way in 5G adoption and the rest of the world will follow,” Tim Hatt, head of research at GSMA Intelligence, told Reuters.

A 100-page GSMA Intelligence report states that by 2025, about 66% of mobile communications in South Korea will be made using 5G networks, in the US this figure will be about 50%, in Japan - 49%.
