Every fourth user does not protect their data

A study conducted by ESET suggests that many users are careless about protecting their data. Meanwhile, such behavior can turn into serious problems.

Every fourth user does not protect their data

It turned out, in particular, that every fourth respondent - 23% - does nothing to protect personal information. These respondents are confident that they have nothing to hide. However, personal photos, correspondence, and other information in the hands of attackers can be used to carry out targeted attacks and organize various fraudulent schemes.

At the same time, 17% of those surveyed delete their search history in order to ensure personal security. Another 15% tape their webcam so that hackers and intruders cannot spy on them.
