A group of scientists from China has announced the creation of a communication device that could play a decisive role in the development of 6G networks. The equipment, based on “space optical switching technology,” was launched into orbit for testing in August 2023. The device installed on the satellite is capable of transmitting light signals without converting them into electrical impulses.
