War Thunder is a cross-platform online war game for PC, PS4, Mac and Linux. The game is dedicated to combat aviation, armored vehicles and the fleet of the Second World War and the Korean War. The player will take part in the battles in all major theaters of war, fighting with real players around the world. In the game, you can try out hundreds of real-life models of aircraft and ground vehicles, and develop the skills of the crews in between battles.

  • Thanks to the new functionality of the scripts, it became possible to fix the situation in which the spawn position of the opponents could be near the spawn position of the allies in the active "convoy" scenario.

The capture is removed if the target goes beyond the working angles of the optical sighting system;
  • For modern helicopters with teleautomatic target tracking, a mode for correcting the aiming point during auto-tracking of the target has been added. To do this, you need to press the "sight stabilization" button again and move the sight to any place relative to the tracked target. This function will allow you to target individual parts of the target or take lead;
  • When locking on a tracking radar target in scope mode, the target selected by the player is now locked instead of the closest target in the center. To do this, the selected target must be in the field of view of the optical sight.

Game mechanics

  • The aiming mechanics of medium-caliber AI-controlled anti-aircraft guns in air battles have been changed, the probability of a direct hit by a projectile on the player’s aircraft has been significantly reduced;
  • Added the "Lock guns during mouse view" setting, which allows you to block the rotation of turrets and gun mounts of tanks and ships relative to the hull when mouse view is active (Control → General → Camera control);
  • In RB and SB modes, ATGMs of ground vehicles are aimed at the crosshairs of the sight, and not at the position of the cursor;
  • In SB mode, for ground vehicles equipped with a laser rangefinder and a main armament stabilizer, when using a rangefinder, the measured distance is entered into the sight automatically;
  • For ATGMs with a semi-automatic guidance system (2nd generation) as well as for air defense systems with a command guidance system (2S6, ADATS, Roland, Stormer HVM), a line visibility check between the launcher and the missile has been added. To maintain missile control on the trajectory, the launcher must maintain visibility of the missile. In case of loss of visibility of the rocket, control commands are no longer transmitted to the rocket, and it continues to fly with the current velocity vector. If the out-of-control missile returns to the launcher's line of sight, control of the missile will be restored. Obstacles for the line of sight can be the landscape and any objects on the map, including trees, including those on the aviation part of the map.

  • And-301 — unused cantilever fuel tanks have been removed from the aircraft model.
