The first tests of the Core i9-9900T show not too far behind the Core i9-9900

The Intel Core i9-9900T processor, which has not yet been officially presented, has recently been tested several times in the popular Geekbench 4 benchmark, according to Tom's Hardware, thanks to which we can evaluate the performance of the new product.

To begin with, we recall that Intel processors with the suffix "T" in the name are distinguished by low power consumption. For example, if the Core i9-9900K has a TDP of 95W and the regular Core i9-9900 is 65W, then the Core i9-9900T chip will fit in just 35W.

Between themselves, these processors differ in clock frequencies. With the energy-efficient Core i9-9900T, you still get eight cores, sixteen threads, 16 MB of L630 cache and integrated Intel UHD 2,1 graphics. But the base clock speed of the novelty, for which TDP is determined, will be only 4,4 GHz, then as in Turbo mode, the maximum frequency will reach XNUMX GHz.

As expected, the Core i9-9900T scored lower on Geekbench 4 compared to the Core i9-9900 due to lower frequencies. The difference in single-core performance was just over 6%, while multi-threaded performance differed by almost 10%. Obviously, the difference with the more powerful Core i9-9900K will be even greater.

The recommended price for the Core i9-9900T is $439. The usual Core i9-9900 costs the same.
