Team17 Digital has announced that Playtonic Games is working on a sequel to the platformer
This is still a platformer, but if the previous game was completely three-dimensional, then in Impossible Lair the authors preferred 2,5D. Most of the time we will spend on levels with a classic camera fixed on the side, as in the usual two-dimensional platformers. Occasionally, heroes will solve puzzles in locations with an isometric perspective.
Yooka and Laylee are back in a brand new hybrid platform adventure! says the project description. "They'll have to run, jump, and roll through tons of 2D levels, solve puzzles, and collect all the king bee to take on Capital B in an incredible lair!"
The authors promise to reveal more details during E3 2019. The platformer will be released this year on Nintendo Switch, Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and PC. IN
