Why Jews are, on average, more successful than other nationalities

Many have noticed that there are many Jews among the millionaires. And among the big bosses. And among great scientists (22% of Nobel laureates). That is, Jews among the world's population are only about 0,2%, and among the successful - incomparably more. How do they do it?

Why are Jews special?

Once I heard about a study by an American university (the link is lost, but if anyone can tell me, I will be grateful), in which they investigated how the Jews do it. Found that Any a group will be more successful than others if three factors converge. They must be present at the same time, one or two is not enough. So:

  1. Feeling chosen. Not in the sense that you are supposed to have more than you have now. And that you have more responsibility. More demand from you. For the Jews, this is "God's chosen people", Jesus was a Jew and everything else around it. However, many nations have a sense of being chosen.
  2. Feeling insecure. Everyone has heard the term "Jewish pogrom", but few people know about any others. Throughout history, Jews have been hit harder than others, it's hard to argue with that. However, there is no need to argue - it is important that the Jews themselves feel that they are less secure than other peoples
  3. Ability to delay results. Yes, yes, the same (ambiguous) marshmallow test and all that. Ability to invest in long-term programs

And if I'm not a Jew, then sho / what / what?

The study stated that if all 3 factors converge at the same time for any group or even one person, then that group or person will be more successful, on average, than the rest. But if we look more closely and rephrase a little, we get that:

  1. The first factor, in fact, tells us: β€œWork. What you have is not success yet, you deserve more.” The usual motivation is "to" or "carrot in front."
  2. The second factor boils down to β€œRelax, there will be problems. Don't stop working." The usual motivation is "from" or "carrot behind".
  3. Well, the third one boils down to β€œno success yet? That's the way it should be. Work harder, everything will be fine, but a little later" or "never give up"

Yes, it's so banal. Work, do not relax, work no matter what. And terms like "insecurity" and "chosen by God" are just a way to add emotion and increase the significance/importance of this principle.
