Polygon journalists published information about the expected direction of development of Apex Legends. According to the publication, with the start of the new rating season, the developers will add the hero Crypto and the Charge Rifle rifle to the shooter. They will appear in the game no earlier than October 1st.
It is expected that the appearance of a new character will be the biggest innovation in the game. Users already it in the current game client. Despite this, nothing is known about his abilities yet. Data miners were only able to find the animation of his drone in the Apex Legends files. For now, we can only assume that his skills will be related to hacking, because in the scene when he is found in the game, he is working on a computer and then runs away.
Even less is known about the Charge Rifle. Polygon journalists speculated that it might be a new type of gun that fires a continuous beam of "directed energy." Judging by the described mechanics, it will be somewhat reminiscent of the Lightning Gun from Quake.
Respawn is also expected to add a new Battle Pass that will offer over 100 exclusive in-game items. There are at least 11 days left before the launch of the third season. Perhaps the developers will publish more details in the next few days.
