Cutter 1.9.0 release

As part of the R2con conference, Cutter 1.9.0 was released under the code name "Trojan Dragon".

Cutter is a graphical shell for the framework radare2, written in Qt/C++. Cutter, like radare2 itself, is designed for reverse engineering programs in machine code, or bytecode (for example, JVM).

The developers set themselves the goal of making an advanced and extensible FOSS platform for reverse engineering. The project itself is actively developing and new releases are released approximately every 5 weeks.

The main changes in this release are aimed at improving interaction with decompilers:

  • Added interface for choosing a decompiler
  • Added support and the decompiler itself from another project - Ghidra

The project also maintains a list of bugs for novice contributors.
