HTC has begun accepting orders for the Vive Cosmos Elite VR virtual reality helmet: the device costs $899.
The novelty is equipped with two 3,4-inch displays with a resolution of 1440 × 1700 pixels each. Thus, the total resolution is 2880 × 1700 pixels.
The screens provide a field of view of 110 degrees. The refresh rate reaches 90Hz. There are stereo speakers, microphones and various sensors, in particular, a gyroscope.
To work with the helmet, you will need a computer equipped with an Intel Core i5-4590 or AMD FX 8350 processor, as well as an NVIDIA GeForce GTX 970 or AMD Radeon R9 290 graphics accelerator.
The package includes two base stations Vive Base Station 1.0 and two controllers (for left and right hands).
It is noted that the novelty provides the ability to track movements with high accuracy. The helmet is designed primarily for gamers.
