Next Hyperloop Design Contest To Be Held In Six Mile Curved Tunnel

Next year, capsule prototype races will take place in a curved tunnel more than six miles (9,7 km) long, the SpaceX CEO tweeted Sunday. Recall that before this competition was held in a test tunnel 1,2 km long, laid in a straight line in Hawthorne, where the headquarters of SpaceX is located.

This is a significant change in the conditions of the competition. It's not yet clear how and where SpaceX will build the new tunnel, given that the current test tunnel can only be extended by 200m, according to Steve Davis, president of Boring, which competed in the Hyperloop Pod Competition finals this year.
