Intel Corporation has proposed its own version of a multifunctional convertible smartphone equipped with a flexible display.
Information about the device is published on the website of the Korean Intellectual Property Office (KIPRIS). Renders of the device, created on the basis of patent documentation, were presented by the LetsGoDigital resource.
As you can see in the images, the smartphone will receive a wrap display. It will cover the front panel, the right side and the entire back panel of the case.
Expanded flexible screen, users can turn the device into a tablet computer. At the same time, it will be possible to display, say, the windows of two applications or one window for viewing video materials and games on the two halves of the panel.
It is said that the design of the display provides for the almost complete absence of frames on all sides. How it is planned to organize the camera system is not specified.
It should be noted that so far Intel has only patented the design of a transformer smartphone. Whether such devices are being considered for the commercial market is not clear.
