Sharp Corporation has expanded its range of smartphones by announcing a very curious novelty - the Aquos Zero 5G Basic model: this is one of the first commercial devices running the Android 11 operating system.

The device is equipped with a 6,4-inch Full HD + OLED display with a resolution of 2340 Γ— 1080 pixels. The panel has the highest refresh rate - 240 Hz. A fingerprint scanner is built right into the screen area.

The computing load is assigned to the Qualcomm Snapdragon 765G processor, which contains eight Kryo 475 cores with a clock speed of up to 2,4 GHz and an Adreno 620 graphics accelerator. The integrated X52 modem provides support for fifth generation (5G) cellular networks.

In the arsenal of the smartphone is a 16,3-megapixel front camera, located in a small screen cutout. The triple rear camera combines a 48-megapixel unit with a maximum aperture of f/1,8, a module with a 13,1-megapixel sensor and wide-angle optics (125 degrees), and an 8-megapixel telephoto unit with a maximum aperture of f/2,4.

The device has Wi-Fi 802.11ac and Bluetooth 5.1 adapters, an NFC controller and a USB Type-C port. IP65/68 certification means waterproof. Dimensions are 161 Γ— 75 Γ— 9 mm, weight - 182 g. Power is provided by a 4050 mAh battery.

The novelty will be available in versions with 6 and 8 GB of RAM, equipped with a drive of 64 and 128 GB, respectively. The price is not disclosed.
