Vivo iQOO Pro 5G smartphone appeared in the TENAA database

Vivo introduced the iQOO series of gaming smartphones in April this year. First apparatus iQOO was equipped with a productive Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 chip. Not so long ago it became is known that on August 22, the manufacturer will present its first smartphone capable of working in fifth generation (5G) communication networks. We are talking about the device Vivo iQOO Pro 5G (V1916A), which previously passed the mandatory 3C certification, and has now been seen in the database of the China Telecommunications Equipment Certification Authority (TENAA).

Unfortunately, no images of the iQOO Pro 5G have appeared on the regulator's website. However, all the main characteristics of the device were disclosed. The developers endowed the novelty with a 6,41-inch display made using AMOLED technology. The applied panel has an aspect ratio of 19,5:9 and supports a resolution of 2340 Γ— 1080 pixels.

Since there are no images of the device, it remains unclear exactly how the location of the front camera will be implemented. It is assumed that it will be placed in a teardrop-shaped cutout at the top of the display. In addition, like the previous model, the device should receive a fingerprint scanner integrated into the display area. According to TENAA, the novelty will receive the same set of cameras as the original iQOO device. We are talking about a 12-megapixel front camera, as well as a triple main camera based on 48, 13 and 12 megapixel sensors.

Responsible for the performance of the device is an 8-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 Plus chip with an operating frequency of 2,96 GHz. The device will be produced in several modifications. Buyers will be able to choose between versions of the device with 8 or 12 GB of RAM, as well as built-in storage of 128, 256 or 512 GB. From the name of the smartphone, it becomes obvious that it supports 5G networks, but which modem is involved is not yet known. The battery is a 4410mAh battery with 44W fast charging support.

Vivo iQOO Pro 5G has dimensions of 158,7 Γ— 75,73 Γ— 9,33 mm and weighs 217 g. The smartphone will run on the Android Pie software platform. Buyers will be able to choose between several body color options. Probably, the cost of the device and the start date of sales will be announced as part of the official presentation this month.
